Peak deer-collision season in Ohio
Oh, deer! According to WCPO Cincinatti, fall is the peak season for deer-car collision.
What better time to make sure you’d be covered in such an incident? Even if you’re not in Ohio, it’s still a good idea to know the ins and outs of your car insurance policy. Actually, funnily enough, Ohio isn’t even in our list of the top 5 states with deer-car collisions.
The story also featured some advice from Ohio Insurance Director and Lieutenant Governor Mary Taylor:
“… drivers should be extra careful in the morning and early evening and check to ensure they have adequate insurance coverage.”
Contrary to popular understanding, your collision policy won’t be footing the bill after you hit Bambi- it’s your comprehensive insurance. (Here’s more info about deer-car collision and coverage.) If you have any doubts as to whether you’d be covered in situations A, B, C or Z, ask your insurer.
